Two other local architectural practices had submitted three previous change-of-use planning applications to convert an existing double garage into a residential dwelling - all refused. Jack Baron then was instructed (while at his previous employer - DAP Architecture Ltd), to redesign the dwelling in response to the planner's and heritage officer's feedback whereby he was granted permission for this unique dwelling located in the heart of Southend-on-Sea.
